Workshops for advanced Contra Dancing.
Dances run from 2:30-5 PM. The cost is $6.00 per person. The dances will be held on the following dates: 10/17, 11/21.

Bring you8r children ages 3-10 and make a wonderful Christmas present for that special person in their life. This great night out will include all supplies and a snack and drink.

Bring your pictures and such and enjoy a day of creativity. Bonnie Mercure will be here as your hostess. Bonnie teaches scrapbooking classes and has many ideas and materials to help you with your projects. Bring a dish to pass for a potluck lunch. We'll call out for pizza for supper. This class teaches the fundamentals of ballet with a focus on flexibility, strength, and balance. Basic ballet positions, footwork, terminology and movements will be taught. This is a great class for anyone who wants to become more flexible and build strength through dance. Ballet slippers are required.

Adult Hip Hop Workout is a fun new way to get into shape. High energy, upbeat dances will get your heart rate going after a full warm-up focuses on flexibility. Popular music will get you ready to get on the dance floor. PARENTS: GET YOUR WORKOUT IN WHILE YOUR KIDS PLAY, DANCE AND TUMBLE! THIS CLASS COINCIDES WITH OUR HALFSIES DANCE & GYMNASTICS FOR KIDS ON TUESDAY MORNINGS!

Learn basic tap and jazz terminology through repetition and simple choreography. A fun way to learn dance and get into shape! Tap shoes required.

All Boys Hip Hop is a class for guys that want to learn cool dance moves in a fun, high-energy environment! Athletic wear and sneakers preferred. (45 minute class)

Baby Steps is a parent/ child class that develops imagination, gross motor skills, and social skills. (30 minute class).

Ballet 101 will continue to develop skills learned in Itty Bitty Ballet. This class is also for those with little or no prior ballet experience. Ballet slippers required.

Ballet 201 reviews the terms and movements taught in Ballet 101. Children will continue learning ballet technique and movement with a focus on intermediate level steps, more challenging barre and floor work and more complicated routines. Ballet slippers are required. (45 minute class)

Dance Together is a class which allows for parent and child to participate in musical games and simple dance combinations in order to develop imagination, body awareness and creative movement. (30 minute class)

The Halfsies Dance & Gymnastics class offers children the opportunity to participate in and learn basic skills in both areas. The dance portion will focus on body awareness and coordination. The gymnastics portion will focus on balance and strenth. (1 hour class)

Itty Bitty Ballet teaches basic ballet terminology and fundamental coordination through barre and floor work and short, choreographed routines. Ballet slippers are required. (30 minute class)

Kids hip hop teaches cool moves to popular music. The classes focuses on increasing flexibility, coordination and confidence! A fun, high-energy class for any kid that likes to move and groove! Sneakers preferred. (45 minute class)

Kids Kombo is a combination class that surveys the basics of tap, jazz, and ballet. Fundamental terminology and movements of all three types of dance will be taught through barre and floor work as well as short routines. (45 minute class)

Musical Theater is a fun, fabulous class that teaches children to be confident. The class focuses primarily on Broadway-like dance movements through short routines. Dances are taught to popular movie and Broadway show songs. Singing is not required, but certainly encouraged. (45 minute class)

This workshop gives young adults who have had dance experience in high school or college the opportunity to continue working on strength, flexibility, and technique. All participants are invited to provide choreography. The workshop will perform at various events through the season and in the Spring MyDance Academy Showcase. All dance styles will be visited. Dancers must provide their own shoes. This is a 1 hour session held twice weekly.

Pee Wee Hip Hop is a fun, high energy class that teaches the basics of rhythm and body awareness through floor work and simple, choreographed routines. Popular, age-appropriate music will be used. Sneakers preferred. (30 minute class)

Pee Wee Tap Tap teaches the basic tap terminology and movements through repetition, floor work, and simple choreography. Tap shoes required. (30 minute class)

Tap 101 reviews the fundamental tap skills taught in Pee Wee Tap. Children will continue learning tap steps and terminology with a focus on clarity of sound, balance, and coordination. Tap shoes are required. (45 minute class)

Teen hip hop reviews the basic steps taught in kids hip hop. Students will learn more challenging steps as well as work on speed, flexibility and performance. Popular music and choreographed routines will be used to teach all the best moves any kid needs to shine at the school dance! (45 minute class)
